Hi, I'm Andy, but my friends call me "D".

 

Over the years, my career path has wound through various roles, from mechanic to a marketer. However, one passion has remained – my love for cooking and baking. It started as a hobby, a way to unwind, but soon became my favorite way to connect and care for those around me. I remember one of the first cakes I ever baked, a German chocolate for my mom’s birthday – it wasn't perfect, but the smiles it brought made me realize the true power of a simple dessert.

 

To me, food transcends mere sustenance. It's something that brings us together, evoking memories and expressing affection. Whether I'm delicately icing a cake or carefully folding a batter, my focus is on quality ingredients and craftsmanship.

 

Currently, Sweet D's is only a side job for me, full time I run a small marketing agency from home. I also bake all of the desserts for Horseshoe Bend Bar & Grill at The Lake of the Ozarks. I make all of my desserts at the restaurant so you can be assured that everything is prepared in a commercial kitchen with cleanliness and hygiene being a top priority.  

 

Since this isn't a full time job, and I live in Columbia but my kitchen is at The Lake, quick turnaround is a challenge. Please understand that I am not baking everyday so to make sure you are getting the freshest goods, I can only deliver on select days of the week. If you would like to sample a dessert, you can order a slice at Horseshoe Bend Bar & Grill. I try to switch up what is offered there every week.
